Amazon Web Services Germany GmbH is looking for someone to lead and further ramp up a local team focused on supporting adoption of Amazon Web Services through a vertical combining the largest Enterprises and Mittelstand companies of Media & Entertainment, and Communications. We are looking for a senior professional with a background in leading highly effective teams and working with large Enterprises to join Amazon Web Services Germany GmbH and support the strategy and operations of the Media, Entertainment and Communications vertical. You will need to be a hands-on account team leader who can drive a sense of urgency in recruiting and team development. You will also facilitate customer interaction, and provide help in driving results with current customers. This team leader in alignment with the German leadership team will work with Solutions Architecture, Business Development, Training/Services, and Marketing to drive the AWS adoption of customers in Germany. Additionally, you will be the chief culture officer for your team in assessing talent, providing coaching and development, and fortifying a strong Amazon culture. Responsibilities
Hire and develop a great team
Support Large Enterprise accounts to adopt Amazon Web Services
Develop and comply with a comprehensive regional plan for the Mittelstand segment
Help ensure customer satisfaction
Develop and run an Account management team with a high bar for operational effectiveness, including pipeline management, forecast accuracy, account/territory strategy support, etc.
Help your team understand the value of AWS and how it can help customer achieve their goals
Establish long-term value by maintaining a robust project pipeline
Scale the business by working with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate adoption
Facilitate long-term relationships with key accounts on C-Level
A track record in managing or leading a high performing IT Account Management team
A deep knowledge and understanding of the Media, Entertainment, and Communications segment.
Experience driving results with Enterprise and large Mittelstand customers
Excellent presentation and communication skills (internally and externally)
Track record of strong business judgment
Strong verbal and written communications skills in English and German are a must.
College Degree preferred
Previous cloud knowledge
Prior experience of working in a technology company
